- It was a very bountiful day in the Pick One with 8 of the 10 competitors getting on the board and the top two scores coming from either side of the lone doubleheader on the docket.
- With that being said, one of those two blanks was unfortunately Lenny who made it four days in a row with zero after Christian Yelich's blank and bench against the Cubs.
- In "happier" news, the chase was on for everybody as the game leader Buddy was that second blank. Frank Schwindel was the only Cubs player that started both games and didn't get a hit in either of them.
- Four participants left the confines of Brewers/Cubs yet only two doubled up on a team. Matt and Colin went with Tampa Bay's Kevin Kiermaier and Ji-Man Choi respectively and earned a single each in their road loss to the Rangers.
- Ryan went outside the box with Kansas City's Emmanuel Rivera who subsequently rewarded him by going outside the outfield fence with his fourth home run of the season against the Guardians.
- The original Dodgers Last Man In collection was just Gavin Lux and Austin Barnes. It has recently had Hanser Alberto added to it as Joseph found out on the day. However, there was no sadness in that revelation as Alberto had himself a cycle bread dinner against the Pirates for the day's bronze medal of five total bases.
- Outside of the two blanks, every other pick from the doubleheader earned at least four total bases. The floor of that was Luis Urias who did it in one swing of the bat for Al while Patrick Wisdom took his time with three hits to earn it for Scott.
- Willson Contreras did the heavy lifting of his six total base day in Game 2 against the Brewers, netting Pavli 5 of those 6 bases in the late start.
- But our day's top score came from a Pick One debutante Tyrone Taylor. Nate found one of the three optimal scorers of the afternoon with the Brewers outfielder in each of Milwaukee's two wins for a grand total of eight total bases.
- Optimally, what Taylor did in two games the pair of Ryan Mountcastle (2 singles, 1 double, 1 home run) and Yordan Alvarez (2 home runs) did in one game.
