- With the rainout of Cleveland/New York, there were a lot of eyes in the Challenge shifting their focus unceremoniously to the bottom of the Astros order.
- Unfortunately, those eyes were met with nothing but zeroes. Both Martin Maldonado and Jake Meyers, the first step second step men of the Last Man In provision, combined to go 0-for-5 with 4 strikeouts against Luis Castillo and the Mariners. Maldonado brought down Colin and Matt as well as Buddy who manually selected him. Meyers gave Lenny and Ryan jack squat in his 2022 Challenge debut.
- Every non-Last Man In scored in Houston's comeback win over Seattle. The most notable was the double selection of Seattle's Dylan Moore which inched our current second and third place players, Pavli and Al, a single closer to Buddy at the summit.
- Our second Home Run Hero of the postseason didn't fare as well as the first but Nate still was able to push himself further away from the cellar (22 total bases) with a double from Seattle's Julio Rodriguez.
- Only one selection had two hits on the afternoon. That was Houston's Jeremy Pena who had a single and a double (and two runs scored) for Scott in the Astros victory.
- But our top scorer, and joint optimal one, was Ed's pick Kyle Tucker. Tucker opened Houston's account with a solo shot in the second inning before the other optimal scorer Yordan Alvarez hit another go-ahead multi-run home run in the sixth to retake the lead Tucker had given their side.
