- Mother Nature tried her damnedest to take a pair of Game 2's away from us, but in the end things were squared up between the Phillies and Braves as well as the Padres and Dodgers.
- After blanking as a duo the day prior, Marcell Ozuna and Orlando Arcia were back at it with a pair of hitless efforts this time for Ryan and Buddy respectively.
- On the other end of the field, rather than take his chances with the night game Matt went with a Phillies substitute in Matt Vierling. He grounded out for Brandon Marsh in the eighth in his lone at-bat.
- Philadelphia's Jean Segura and Atlanta's Travis d'Arnaud were also returning characters in the Challenge after being selected in Games 1 & 2. In Game 2 each man got a single for Ed and Pavli respectively. The base knock from d'Arnaud puts Pavli within three total bases of reclaiming the lead for the first time since September 4th.
- Our only double selection of the day came from Colin and Lenny with Ronald Acuna Jr. The Braves outfielder had one of his team's four singles against Philadelphia but was the only one that didn't drive in a run.
- In the late game, our only blank was the only Padres player taken Trent Grisham. Nate's pick was one of just two San Diego starters to go hitless as they knotted the series with the Dodgers.
- With the weather news swirling, Al left his day in the hands of the Last Man In. Cody Bellinger made sure those hands got at least a single in them before being pinch hit for in the eighth inning.
- But our day's top scorer, and also one half of the optimal pair with Manny Machado had there been no chip played, was Scott's pick Freddie Freeman. The Dodgers first baseman hit a double and a home run, the former being the only hit off of San Diego closer Josh Hader, to finish on six total bases. But with Scott using the first Home Run Hero chip of the postseason, Freeman earned him a score of 10 in the end which doubled the production of the other nine picks combined.
