- It was a day to forget for the majority of our participants as well as the players they chose.
- Ed got his first taste of the Last Man In with Los Angeles' Cody Bellinger who had a single in a win over Cubs. Unluckily for Matt, he was neither eligible for the former NL MVP or teammate Austin Barnes in the LMI slot.
- Our other players' forays into the late part of the schedule didn't fare very well either. Lenny's pick Eugenio Suarez blanked against the Blue Jays while Ryan's selection Jake Cronenworth did as much against the Giants.
- There was only one run and seven total hits between the Cardinals and Phillies with none coming from St. Louis' Juan Yepez (Nate) or Philadelphia's Rhys Hoskins (Scott).
- Baltimore was also in a 1-0 affair with the Angels but Colin's pick Cedric Mullins was unable to be a part of that limited action with a blank of his own.
- The two men atop our overall leaderboard mind-melded with Detroit's Jonathan Schoop. And while his Tigers were obliterated by the White Sox, he at least got them a single amongst the rubble.
- But our top scorer for the day was the only man to select a player that got past second base in their game. Al got six total bases (two singles, one home run) from Amed Rosario as his Guardians put up 13 runs on 23 hits against Kansas City. Every Cleveland starter got at least one hit.
- Optimally, one of those Guardians, Jose Ramirez, tied with Miami's Jesus Aguilar and Texas' Marcus Semien for the day's best possible score of seven total bases.
