- It was a day to forget for most of our field. Seven of the ten participants blanked with a whole lot of them piling up the strikeouts in the process.
- The final impressions of the season for Arizona's Ketel Marte and Chicago's Andrew Vaughn were those of zeroes in defeat. Nate and Matt made the final selections of both men respectively to see their 2022 campaign end unceremoniously.
- Whiffs were in the air in the NL West. San Francisco's Thairo Estrada (Scott), San Diego's Trent Grisham (Al), and Los Angeles' Joey Gallo (Colin) all struck out three times in their blanks. However, only Grisham's Padres were losers on the scoreboard for the day.
- Ryan returned to Anaheim with the soon-to-be retired Kurt Suzuki. He didn't strike out at all against the Rangers, but also didn't get a hit in the 5-3 defeat.
- Aledmys Diaz was handed his 2022 Pick One debut by Lenny. He repaid that sentiment with a blank against the Orioles. Diaz shouldn't feel too bad though as his team was shut out in the contest.
- For the first time this season, Seattle's Cal Raleigh was selected rather than assigned as a Last Man In. Buddy's faith in the Mariners rookie catcher earned him a double's worth of total bases.
- But our top scorers did one better with three total bases apiece for San Francisco's Joc Pederson and Texas' Marcus Semien. Ed got a trio of singles from the Giants All-Star while Pavli got a single and a double from one half of the Rangers diamond-studded up-the-middle duo.
- Optimally, Kolten Wong provided all of the offense in Milwaukee's win over the Reds to keep their hopes of the final NL Wild Card alive. He hit three home runs for 12 total bases and drove in all five of the Brewers' tallies in a 5-1 victory.
