- Our second to last day of regular season baseball saw three of our final four doubleheaders of 2022 which drew in at least one pick from every matchup.
- Those who went away from either Tigers/Mariners, Mets/Nationals, or Yankees/Rangers were mostly met with the day's blanks. Philadelphia's Bryson Stott (Colin), Oakland's Nate Mondou (Ryan), and San Francisco's David Villar (Scott) were all hitless.
- Only Nate's pick Vinnie Pasquantino strayed away from the pack with success. The Royals first baseman was one of two Kansas City players to get multiple hits against Cleveland, both being singles.
- Every doubleheader had one person get just one single between the two games. Detroit and Seattle's representative was Lenny's pick Harold Castro from the Tigers. Texas' Marcus Semien, the lone picked out player of the day, got a single for Matt. CJ Abrams' Nationals may have been shut out in the win column, but he was able to snare Pavli a single against the Mets.
- Texas had both our silver and bronze medalists for the day and they nearly completed a cycle together. The pair of Josh Jung (Buddy) and Adolis Garcia (Ed) had four and five total bases respectively over their split with the Yankees. Jung singled in Game 1 before tripling in the night cap. Garcia would single in the Game 2 win but had homered for that one extra base in Game 1.
- But taking home history on the field and his third top score of the season in the Pick One was Al's pick Aaron Judge. He finally got over the hump with a leadoff home run off Rangers opener Jesus Tinoco for the American League record of 62. Add a single from Game 1 and a Home Run Hero designation and the Honorable One finished on a score of 9 for the two game's work.
- Optimally, half the field could have gotten a pair of touchdowns worth of total bases from the Mets' Brandon Nimmo. He fell a triple shy of the cycle in each of New York's wins over the Nationals to finish on a ridiculous 14 total bases for the day.
