- One streak came to an end while the continuance of another allowed for one of a few shifts in the standings.
- There was no shift on top today as Buddy rebounded well from yesterday's double assault with a single and a double from Miami's Jesus Aguilar.
- Colin proved himself an equal opportunity Sox'er with a single from Chicago's Andrew Vaughn a day after taking Boston's Jarren Duran.
- The field must not have been big fans of Cleveland's Zach Plesac as there were four different Twins players taken against the Guardians starter. Three of those went for blanks as Trevor Larnach (Matt), Gary Sanchez (Al), and Luis Arraez (Lenny) combined to go 0-for-11. Arraez, the league's leading hitter, was Lenny's first blemish in the Challenge since Christian Yelich blanked for him on May 30th.
- Not all Twins fell flat though. Pavli moved back into second place over Matt on the strength of Carlos Correa's three singles which represented 60% of Minnesota's total hits.
- The other bypassed players in the standings were Joseph and Nate after Last Man In Sergio Alcantara and Tommy Edman both blanked in respective losses.
- Passing Nate was the day's silver medalist Scott with a pair of singles and a double from Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner in their win over the Reds.
- Passing Joseph was our top scorer Ryan who made it back-to-back days with a Home Run Hero via Pittsburgh's Bryan Reynolds. Ryan had been in last place since April 17th before Reynolds' first inning blast off Chicago's Justin Steele put him one total base out of the basement.
- Optimally, Dansby Swanson provided some firepower out of the leadoff spot for the Braves hitting a single and two home runs in their win over the Giants.
