- In a world of singles, the man with extra bases is king. 6 of the day's 7 scores came entirely from one-base hits.
- Unfortunately for Al, Buddy, and Scott, they did not fall into the net of that seven. Franchy Cordero, Didi Gregorius, and Cedric Mullins all blanked on the day. Only Cordero's team won (no thanks to his three K's) with Gregorius and Mullins being shut out. Gregorius is a rather popular pick in the history of the Challenge despite the fact that he's never gone past the one total base barrier.
- It wasn't a great day for the Orioles against their interleague, inter-region rivals Washington, as illustrated by Mullins' woeful day, but Pavli made it back-to-back days with singles (after a Gregorius blank) via Trey Mancini. This also allowed him to reclaim sole possession of third place.
- Speaking of possession, the possessors of the two longest streaks currently in the Pick One went with Atlanta Braves. Ryan broke glass for a single with Austin Riley while Lenny got two singles from Dansby Swanson.
- Last Man In CJ Abrams singled for Joseph and scored San Diego's first run on a double from his Last Man In assignment from the day prior, Ha-Seong Kim.
- Miguel Cabrera had the most hits on the day with three. Even though they were all singles, Nate will surely take it as that one game from Miggy bested his output from the previous three days combined.
- That leaves our final two picks from the Texas Rangers, one with a single and one with more. The singler was indeed Colin's pick Corey Seager. It was a sixth inning RBI knock that came directly one inning after...
- Jonah Heim homered to give the day's top score to Matt. The Rangers catcher went yard the only time he made contact on the evening to earn our current silver medalist his third solo top score of the month of June.
- There were plenty of 2 HR/10 TB games around the league from a cavalcade of young stars. However, Tampa Bay was the home of the only three homer man of the night, Isaac Paredes. The 23-year old's 12 total bases were all crucial to the Rays' victory over the Yankees with his final one providing the necessary cushion to help his bullpen stave off a late Yanks rally.
