- Six of us were thinking pre-season AL favorite Chicago was ready to go into that good offseason night. Luckily for our picksheets, they weren't on their way out just yet.
- After a September in which an all-hit day didn't occur once, we got our first one of the postseason with the day's ALDS offerings.
- Four different White Sox players saw usage with Luis Robert (Greg/Matt) and Cesar Hernandez (Colin) getting singles in their big win. Yoan Moncada (Al) and Tim Anderson (Trevor) got two and three hits respectively but none better than a single. Yasmani Grandal (Pavli) was the only ChiSox selection to reach extra bases with a two-run shot in the third inning.
- But that home run wasn't enough for top score as that went to the lone player taken from Boston/Tampa Bay, the Rays' Austin Meadows. Tampa may have lost in extra innings, but Ryan saw Meadows add a double to his home run to earn the day's honors.
