- As eight of our ten participants watched Toronto sweep Baltimore to further solidify themselves as the final Wild Card team in the AL, Pick One history was made.
- We had two outliers once again and at least it wasn't a pure blank out like the day prior. Yes, Matt did not get a hit from Kansas City's Michael Massey, but Ryan did get a double from Los Angeles' Joey Gallo in the late game.
- There were three double selections among the eight picks for the Orioles/Blue Jays doubleheader. The two that didn't fall into that bubble were both from the Blue Jays. Both men got their production in Game 1 with Colin getting a double from Matt Chapman and Scott netting a trio of singles from George Springer.
- All three double selections also had at least one person use their Home Run Hero chip for September on them. Two of them fell short in their quest. Both of these players also had all of their production in Game 1. Ed lost his with Baltimore's Ryan Mountcastle who had just a double for Pavli and himself. Nate was hard done by Toronto's Vladimir Guerrero Jr. who would single twice to earn two total bases for himself and Lenny.
- But our top scorer was quite the doozy folks. Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette had the highest non-boosted score in Pick One history over the two games with the Orioles. His three singles in Game 1 and three home runs in Game 2 put 15 meaty total bases on the table for Al. However, Buddy did use his Home Run Hero booster for September and upped his haul to a ridiculous score of 27 for the day rocketing him from six bases down to nineteen bases up. It should go without saying that Bichette was also the optimal score of the day.
