- All of the ten picks made on the day fell into four distinct pockets.
- The first one was what we'll call the "First and Last" pocket with each pick coming from the first and last games of the day. Both ended the same unfortunately as Scott's pick Giancarlo Stanton was on the wrong side of a combined no-hitter by the Astros while Last Man In Jorge Azocar brought Joseph's San Diego LMI success rate under 50% with a blank against the Phillies.
- Our next pocket is the unimaginatively named "Harrison Bader" pocket as both Buddy and Pavli picked the St. Louis outfielder. The Cardinals moved into a tie for first place in the NL Central with a win over the Cubs and Bader got each man a single in the contest.
- Each of the next two team pockets were two players to the bad, one player to the good. Representing the bad part of the Royals was Hunter Dozier (Colin) and Whit Merrifield (Lenny). Dozier's blank ended Colin's eight day run with hits.
- Kansas City's bright third came from Matt's pick MJ Melendez. He was able get back into a tie for second position as the Royals DH/C added a second single to his tally in his club's loss to the A's.
- For the White Sox, Al's barren week continued with a blank from Andrew Vaughn. His current streak of five (non-BLANK) blanks is tied for the worst this season and is second all-time to the record of six set last year. Joining Al underneath the South Side rain cloud was Nate who saw his selection Jake Burger plunked in his final at-bat of a losing effort to the Orioles after a hitless day at the plate.
- But taking home the day's top score was the only man on those White Sox to pair an extra-base hit with a single, Ryan's pick Luis Robert. His three total bases may not seem like much in the grand scheme of things but if you look where Ryan was a month ago and where he is now, eighth place, each hit has that gravitas.
- Optimally, Pete Alonso and Tony Kemp got to eight total bases on the day in their team's respective wins. Alonso homered twice against the Marlins while Kemp's home run was linked up with a pair of doubles.
