- I had a bunch of really crappy openings for the day's recap but the Queen died so I'm using that as a coward's excuse for not using any of them.
- Ryan's tour of Ohio continued to be bumpy through Cincinnati. He suffered his third blank in a row with Jose Barrero seeing his average fall to .148 despite his Reds beating the Cubs.
- With a light schedule, the doubleheader between Milwaukee and San Francisco drew a lot of attention garnering seven of ten possible selections. Only one of those came from the Giants though and to the delight of the chasers it was a blank from Buddy's pick Wilmer Flores.
- Well, not all the chasers were delighted as Scott also got a blank from Milwaukee's Andrew McCutchen. Cutch was defensively replaced in the Game 1 win without a hit before not playing Game 2.
- Milwaukee's Willy Adames netted Lenny a single in Game 2 coming around to score. It was a helpful rebound from a Game 1 showing where he didn't get the ball out of the infield.
- Our first non-Last Man In quad selection of the season came in the form of another former MVP, Christian Yelich. Al, Ed, Matt, and Pavli all backed the Brewers outfielder and got a Game 1 double for their trouble. Only Nate has him left at his disposal.
- Speaking of "Christians" and Nate, it stayed spiritual in a way as Nate was assigned the Last Man In of Oakland's Cristian Pache. However, it was not divine intervention on the A's youngster's part as he struck out twice and blanked in his team's 14-2 loss to Chicago.
- But his teammate Seth Brown was able to do enough to be crowned the day's best scorer for Colin. Brown singled and doubled for three total bases against the White Sox, scoring one of those aforementioned two runs.
- Optimally, one of those ChiSox who contributed to their tribute to the return of the NFL put up the best stat line. Yoan Moncada went 5-for-6 with two singles, a double, and two home runs (driving in five) for a massive haul of 12 total bases in the win.
