- The final scheduled doubleheader of September drew in seven selections, including four of the same player.
- All of the outliers were catchers, but only Colin's pick Yadier Molina failed to register a hit. The Cardinals legend blanked against San Diego in which the Cardinals are now all but guaranteed to be playing in the Wild Card round.
- Both San Francisco's Joey Bart (Scott) and Los Angeles' Max Stassi (Ryan) singled in their club's wins over the Rockies and Rangers respectively.
- Unfortunately each team in the doubleheader between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks had a blank. Each came from somebody in the top half of the table. LA's Gavin Lux did Pavli dirty with an 0-for-8 over the two games. Matt's pick Jake McCarthy added one more at-bat of disappointment with an 0-for-9 as the D'Backs split the twin bill.
- Four participants tried their luck with Major League hits leader Freddie Freeman. They got three hits from the All-Star but none of them got the first baseman past his defensive position on the field. While Buddy, Lenny, and Nate will take the three total bases smiling, Al has to feel a bit hard done as he used his September Home Run Hero chip in vain.
- But our top scorer, and only MLB player to ever like a Pick One Challenge post, was Arizona's Ketel Marte. He doubled in Arizona's loss and homered in their win to earn Ed 6 total bases for the evening.
- Optimally, Ed or Matt could have gone with Philadelphia's JT Realmuto. He fell a triple shy of the cycle but did have a triple's worth of singles to go with his double and home run on a 5 hit, 9 total base day in an offensive showcase with the Blue Jays.
