- It wasn't all-encompassing but if you didn't make a pick from the AL Central on this day you certainly did not score.
- After their 4-0 loss to Arizona, San Diego sits just 1.5 games ahead of Milwaukee for the final playoff spot in the NL. Ed's pick Jake Cronenworth didn't leave any men on base in his blank because frankly there were never any there to leave.
- Philadelphia sits just ahead of them in the Wild Card standings and didn't do themselves any favors either with a loss to the Marlins. In that one, Pavli's pick Jean Segura went 0-for-4, struck out twice, and grounded into a double play.
- Ryan left Los Angeles but stayed in California with Oakland's Seth Brown. The results stayed the same as the majority of his Angels selections though. The best Brown could do for him was a pair of walks before being pinch hit for in the A's loss to the Astros.
- The lone AL Central pick that blanked took out two poor souls. Both Buddy and Colin were let down by Minnesota's Jose Miranda who despite seeing his side win went 0-for-4 and grounded into two twin killings.
- One Twin did produce some points for the Pick One. Lenny's pick Gary Sanchez singled twice (his 2nd multi-hit game of September) in Minnesota's win over the Royals.
- Three players decided to pile on the Guardians when they announced Hunter Gaddis and his 21.60 ERA as the spot starter against the White Sox. Nate went the other way with a bit of empathy by selecting teammate Oscar Gonzalez. A single isn't much of a repayment, but it is certainly better than nothing.
- But on this day the pigpile proved to be the place to be as all three White Sox selections tied for the day's top score. Elvis Andrus (Al & Scott) hit one of five home runs off of the beleaguered Guardians starter. Matt's pick Jose Abreu got to four total bases via a pair of RBI singles and a double.
- And yes, a White Sox player was also the optimal scorer as well. Yoan Moncada came a triple shy of the cycle against Cleveland with two singles, a double, and a home run for eight total bases in the 8-2 victory.
