- Three participants blanked on the day. You wouldn't bat an eye seeing utility infielder Hanser Alberto (Matt) from the Dodgers or utility outfielder Jake Fraley (Scott) from the Reds amongst that trio. However, Ed has to be a bit perturbed that in a game where the Red Sox had 19 hits, none of them came from his selection Rafael Devers. In fact, he was the only Boston starter against Baltimore that didn't get a hit.
- The Pick One Challenge as a whole hit for the cycle on the day. In the single portion of the conga line was Texas' Nate Lowe (Buddy), San Diego's Brandon Drury (Nate), and Drury's former Reds teammate Jonathan India (Lenny).
- Jorge Polanco was our lone doubler for the day, doing the deed for Colin as Minnesota scored two in the first inning off of Martin Perez and held on to win.
- Continuing his recent tear since joining Chicago was Al's pick Franmil Reyes. DFA'ed by Cleveland at the start of the month, Reyes had his second triple as a Cub in a win over the Brewers.
- Doing Reyes one total base better though was Pavli's selection Patrick Wisdom. His fifth inning two run shot was part of a roller coaster inning and a half between the Cubs and Brewers.
- But our only two hit man of the day was our top scorer, Ryan's pick Joc Pederson. The Giants All-Star feasted on cycle bread against the Rockies for five total bases.
- Optimally, two players across the Majors hit two home runs which would have netted a backer eight total bases. Seattle's Eugenio Suarez doing it doesn't surprise anybody. Colorado's Elehuris Montero may be one to look at for the future after his showing.
