- An odd doubleheader occurred in Detroit due to some reshuffling of the games postponed due to the lockout. Five participants came for the ride as Oakland batted first in the first game, naturally on the road, before batting second in the second game since it was technically an A's "home game".
- Chad Pinder didn't get to play on the home leg of the trip and wasn't able to get Lenny anything in the early start.
- Shifting down one spot in the lineup helped Sheldon Neuse a little bit. Even though he struck out three times in Game 2, moving from leadoff to the 2-hole got Pavli a single in Oakland's win in the split.
- The belle of the Comerica Park ball was Sean Murphy who garnered three selections on the day. The man famous for his baseball repellent posterior had one of Oakland's four hits in Game 1, a double, before being shut out in Game 2 much to Buddy, Joseph, and Scott's dismay.
- Moving outside the Detroit/Oakland bubble, Ryan was back to flopping with the Last Man In. This time it was Arizona backup catcher Jose Herrera bringing the blanks to the yard as one of two D'Backs to not record a hit in their 9-3 drubbing of the Marlins.
- Colin wasn't able to build more of a buffer between Ryan and himself as Steven Kwan blanked in Cleveland's loss to the White Sox.
- There was much more Hot Rod than Roddy Piper for Rowdy Tellez as Al's pick went 0-for-5 against Cincinnati, the team he went for 11 total bases against less than a week ago.
- It wasn't a monster day at the park for Francisco Lindor in a Mets win, but his pair of singles was good enough for Nate to keep pace with the rest of the field.
- But our top scorer of the day was also our top scorer overall as Matt took home three total bases from Cincinnati's Tyler Stephenson. It was the catcher's third multi-hit game of the month of May.
- Optimally, everybody in regular baseball land had their eyes on Reid Detmers throwing the first solo no-hitter of 2022 against the Rays. In the Pick One, Mike Trout had those peepers on him with a single and a pair of home runs, including one off of poor Brett Phillips, for nine total bases in the blowout win.
