- Baseball's postseason is just under a month away. With that being said, an eye is being kept on playoff races as well as eliminated squads when it comes to Pick One selections entering a tense October.
- That tension will rise every day our current game leader blanks. Astros All-Star Kyle Tucker did not help strengthen Buddy's position at the top of the table as he left five teammates on base in a blank against the Angels.
- It took a massive rain delay to push San Diego into Last Man In territory and it was not worth the wait for Nate. The returning Jorge Alfaro may have been on the winning end against the Dodgers on the field, but in the Pick One he paid zero dividends with an 0-for-3 blank.
- Sox picks did not go very well on the day. Boston's Trevor Story didn't get the ball out of the infield with two K's for Ed in a loss to the Orioles. Al's pick Yoan Moncada could not replicate his magic from the day prior, striking out twice himself, in the White Sox's win over the A's.
- After being perfect in turning selections into top scores a season ago, Brendan Rodgers has gone the completely opposite direction this year. On this day Colin felt the disappointment of a blank from the Rockies star, compounded even more so by the fact that his team scored 13 runs and raked 14 hits versus Arizona.
- Those very Diamondbacks scored 10 runs themselves in that shootout. The second and third of those runs came from Lenny and Scott's pick Corbin Carroll, via a solo home run, and Matt's pick Josh Rojas, via an RBI single.
- Our top scorers, yes plural, of the day though finished on six total bases without repeating each other's hit types. Ryan's pick Aristides Aquino, the third Reds player that only Ryan has picked, hit three doubles in a resounding win over the Brewers. Pavli's selection JT Realmuto helped push his Phillies further ahead in the NL Wild Card standings over those Brewers with a pair of singles and a home run against the Nationals.
- Optimally, Elias Diaz was one of three players on the day to break double digit total bases in the league. He had 11 against the D'Backs falling a triple shy of the cycle with a single, double, and two home runs.
