- It was just another day with a doubleheader to shoot at with over half the field going in on Colorado and New York.
- As always we start with those that didn't follow the herd. That's where we find our lone blank of the day with Scott's selection Austin Riley. Don't cry too much for Scotty though he's about to win the Premier League Pick One Challenge.
- All seven of Pittsburgh's hits against the Cardinals came against top pitching prospect Matthew Liberatore in his Major League debut. One of those, a single, came from Ryan's pick Ke'Bryan Hayes.
- Only one man recorded multiple hits for the Orioles against the Rays. It would have been an unnecessary misdirect for a blurb if it wasn't Colin's selection Trey Mancini.
- For a seventh consecutive day, the Last Man In has come good. On this occasion it was Los Angeles' Andrew Velazquez whose homer would give the Angels the cushion they needed to hold off a late A's rally and also earn Lenny four total bases.
- They may have earned a split with the Mets, but Colorado was the vastly inferior route in the Pick One Challenge. Combined, Charlie Blackmon (Buddy) and last year's Pick One "MVP" Brendan Rodgers (Nate) couldn't get to either total put forth by either Mets selection.
- Both Mets picks did the majority of their work in their winning effort or in the case of Jeff McNeil, all of it. Al got a pair of doubles from outfielder McNeil in Game 1 before blanking with infielder McNeil in Game 2.
- That leaves a three-way tie for top score between Joseph, Matt, and Pavli thanks to Pete Alonso. Now had Alonso homered as part of his five total bases like he did three days prior Matt would have had top score all to his lonesome having used his Home Run Hero chip. Alas, it was a trio of singles and a double over the split with Colorado that gave him his bases.
- Optimally, several players across the league hit two home runs in their respective games. But only Rafael Devers was able to pair those two long balls with a single to finish with nine total bases in Boston's win over Seattle.
