- There was a run on a different color of Sox on this day but it did not provide the same boon from the prior day's Stockings squad.
- Scott tried a different approach by staying in Chicago yet switching to the Cubs. Yan Gomes did not help his cause with an 0-for-4 in a win over the Rockies.
- Detroit was able to beat the White Sox to put Chicago four games back in the AL Central. However, Buddy's pick Eric Haase only could contribute a walk to the effort leaving our game leader with a blank.
- The Orioles sit two games ahead of those ChiSox (and 4.5 behind Tampa) after their loss to the Blue Jays. In that one, Nate's pick Anthony Santander blanked, striking out twice.
- Five different Red Sox players were selected against Kansas City. That is the most in the regular season without a repeat or the aid of a doubleheader. Regrettably for Colin and Matt though, their selections Triston Casas and Alex Verdugo combined for four walks, but no hits, in the win.
- And we are now at the top score blurb. Yup, we have a five-way tie at the top and it is the sad kind of top score, the single single top score. Three of those five aforementioned Red Sox reside here with JD Martinez (Ed), Rafael Devers (Lenny), and Christian Arroyo (Pavli) getting all three of Boston's total hits against the Royals. Al got his single from Miami's Brian Anderson who were bested by the Nationals. Rounding out the party was Ryan's return to Los Angeles with the Angels' Matt Duffy who singled in a run against the Mariners.
- Optimally, four participants (Al, Colin, Ed, & Lenny) could have had a 13 total base night from Houston's Yordan Alvarez. He homered thrice and added a single for funsies as the Astros shut out the A's.
