- It was a crowded day at the top of the scoreboard as half of the participants tied for the daily best.
- We only had two blanks among the five that didn't get two singles or a double (spoiler). Al's All-Star Rafael Devers was one of only two Red Sox starters to go hitless in their win over the Royals. Matt did not have either Dodgers Last Man In available and was paid a visit by BLANK.
- Our only double selection of the day was Milwaukee's Hunter Renfroe. As the man he was traded for in Boston was released, Renfroe earned his backers Colin and Scott one total base with a single in a Brewers win over the Reds.
- CJ Cron was the other man in the single section, netting Ryan that one total base in Colorado's loss to Arizona. Only Matt has the lone Rockies All-Star still available.
- That leaves us with that aforementioned five-way tie for the day's gold medal between five different players. Ed's pick Matt Carpenter was the only person who got to the total of two with a pair of singles. Ketel Marte (Buddy), David Peralta (Lenny), Last Man In Cody Bellinger (Nate), and Adam Frazier (Pavli) all had doubles in their respective contests. Peralta became the first man this season to be selected on two different clubs, both of the 1998 Expansion clubs, Tampa Bay and Arizona.
- Optimally, one could have received an eight total base donation from either Trey Mancini or JT Realmuto. Houston's Trade Deadline acquisition got his via a pair of home runs while the Phillies catcher fell a double short of the cycle for his haul.
