- It was a light schedule in Major League Baseball and that trickled over to the scores in the Pick One Challenge.
- Ryan's third straight Cleveland Guardians selection produced a third straight blank. Myles Straw did not get one of Cleveland's meager two hits against the Orioles, yet he did draw an inconsequential walk.
- The chase day was on once again as both Buddy and Pavli went hitless with Kansas City's Nick Pratto and Chicago's Eloy Jimenez respectively.
- Joining our game leader on the hitless sidelines with a White Sox player was Nate with Gavin Sheets. He walked twice and scored but never made solid contact off of Daniel Mendgen and company.
- Dermis Garcia gave Scott no skin in the game after the Athletics first baseman struck out in all three of his official at-bats against the Nationals.
- Late scrambling brought both Lenny and Matt into the awaiting arms of Milwaukee rookie Garrett Mitchell. But like that clip from Walker, Texas Ranger he pulled away at the final moment leaving them to hit the ground hitless.
- Central Division selections weren't all bad though. Both Al and Ed got two total bases apiece from Chicago's Yasmani Grandal and Detroit's Riley Greene. Granted both of their teams were on different ends of a seven run winner but that is irrelevant in this sphere.
- But our top scorer of the day, and optimal one overall, came from of all places Washington. Joey Meneses had been pivoted away from twice before by other participants, but Colin finally pulled the trigger on the 30 year old rookie and was handsomely rewarded. Three singles and a walkoff tenth inning three run home run put Meneses firmly in the middle of a home plate celebration and seven total bases in Colin's pocket.
