- The broken record continues to spin as the National League were beaten for a ninth straight year. 3-2 was this year's scoreline with home representative Tony Gonsolin taking his first L of the year, albeit unofficially.
- This year's installment lacked offensive punch and so did the Pick One Challenge. Over half our participants channeled everything they learned from high school health class and chose abstinence over selection.
- Three of the four that dipped their toes in the waters of the Mid-Summer Classic ended up with the same score as those that chose to not pick. Jake Cronenworth (Colin), Garrett Cooper (Al), and Andres Gimenez (Nate) all got two bites of the apple on the evening but combined to produce 5 strikeouts in those 6 at-bats.
- Our only scorer for the All-Star Game was Ryan with his pick Ronald Acuna Jr. He led things off for the NL with a double and would come around to score the game's first run.
- Optimally, any of the game's home run hitters (Paul Goldschmidt, Giancarlo Stanton, & Byron Buxton) would have netted you the best possible score of four total bases.
