- For the fourth consecutive day, those who stayed in the doubleheader camp benefited the most.
- Los Angeles temporarily removed the stink of being swept by the Pirates by shutting out the then-NL best Mets at home. Last Man In Chris Taylor netted Joseph a pair of singles but the bad vibes caught Al as he switched from one of his Giants (Brandon Crawford who sat versus Miami) to Will Smith who would be one of the day's two blanks.
- That aforementioned second blank was Scott via Miguel Cabrera. His Tigers would rally to beat the Twins late on, but the future Hall of Famer provided no hits to the cause.
- A pair of Cubans bring the non-doubleheader part of the recap to a close as Jorge Soler and Jose Abreu each got a single for Colin and Ryan respectively. Soler's single pushed Colin's Pick One hitting streak to nine days.
- Representing the Angels were Taylor Ward (Matt) and Jared Walsh (Nate). Ward struggled mightily as his Angels were swept but still managed to scratch out an eighth inning single in Game 1 which he'd come around to score his club's lone run. Walsh got hits in both games and kept it numerically synergistic with a single in the first and a double in the second.
- But our three-way dance at the top of the daily charts was thanks to New York's Gleyber Torres. Torres tripled his usage from last season in one day as Buddy, Lenny, and Pavli all got a double and a home run from the Yankees second baseman in the doubleheader sweep.
- Optimally, Travis d'Arnaud showed shades of his 2020 Silver Slugger winning season as he helped Atlanta throttle Colorado by going deep twice with a sprinkle of a single for nine total bases.
