- There were two doubleheaders to choose from, one with potential playoff teams and one with definitely not playoff teams.
- We'll start with the latter, Pittsburgh versus Cincinnati. The Pirates swept the two-game set but each team had a representative blank over the two games. Or should I say one because both Pittsburgh's Jack Suwinski (Matt) and Cincinnati's Jake Fraley (Pavli) only batted in Game 1. Suwinski would don the ole Golden Sombrero in that one before coming in as a defensive sub in Game 2. Fraley would be pinch run for in Game 1 leaving 0-for-2 with a walk.
- In Cincinnati's defense, they only got one hit in Game 2. Buddy's pick Jonathan India did not get that one off the bench, but did get a single in Game 1.
- Ben Gamel was the only selection from this doubleheader that got a hit in both legs. Ed's pick would single and double in the 6-1 Game 1 win before collecting one of the Pirates' three hits in the 1-0 Game 2 victory.
- Our other doubleheader saw the Rays take on the Blue Jays. In the Pick One, we saw our lone double selection take on the only person completing their picking out for the year. Colin and Lenny got a pair of singles from Tampa Bay's Wander Franco while Nate got that plus a double from Toronto's Bo Bichette in his final selection of 2022.
- A second straight day of Luis Rengifo being selected produced the same results. On this day it was Ryan feeling the blankness from the Angels second baseman against the Guardians. This was Ryan's third straight pick from the Halos.
- In the other dugout we had our silver medalist for the day, Al's pick Oscar Gonzalez. The Guardians rookie knocked in two of Cleveland's three runs against the Angels with a 6th inning shot off of Jose Suarez. He would add a single for good measure to end with five total bases worth of cycle bread.
- But our day's top scorer was a man on a Pick One island for the day, Scott's pick Gio Urshela. The Minnesota third baseman went a perfect 3-for-3 against Kansas City adding an extra slice of single to his pile of cycle bread finishing on six total bases.
- Ten of Texas' eleven hits against Oakland went for extra bases with three of them coming from the day's optimal scorer Mark Mathias. He hit double digit total bases (10) with a double and two home runs in a Rangers win.
