- The Division Series has come to an end and despite its final moment being what everyone is rightfully talking about, it was one to remember for many other reasons.
- As it has been for the better part of these elimination games, the split was 4-3 between the two teams. This time the Giants had the higher portion of the split versus the Dodgers.
- Only one player blanked on the evening, Colin's pick Tommy La Stella, who was subbed out after one at-bat in favor of Donovan Solano who also blanked.
- Trevor got a single from Brandon Crawford in his last eligible game making the Gold Glove shortstop the second player to be picked out in the postseason.
- Each team had a representative with a double. Buster Posey did the deed for Matt, a long-awaited re-use after a five month wait. Corey Seager was the doubler for the Dodgers earning Ryan a pair of points.
- Top score was hit in two very different ways by a member of each squad. Darin Ruf went the more traditional route with Pavli by tying the game up in the sixth inning with a solo home run. Mookie Betts went a more circuitous route for both Al and Greg with just the second four single game all year. Oddly enough, the only other player to get four singles was one of the men the Dodgers traded to Boston for Betts, Alex Verdugo, six months ago to the day.
