- Although there was a full slate of games to work from, under half of them saw usage on the last day of the weekly baseball calendar.
- An impressive run ended on the day as Texas' Jonah Heim could not extend Colin's 11 day hitting streak against the Mariners.
- Another streak we were all hoping to never see end did just that in an early afternoon tilt. Scott's pick Daulton Varsho blanked for the first time in Pick One history as he was stymied by Pittsburgh going 0-for-4.
- While Arizona disappointingly didn't scratch a single run across against Zach Thompson and company, Lenny and Pavli at least didn't suffer the same fate as Scott as they each got a single from Josh Rojas.
- Both of the Cubs taken for Sunday Night Baseball, Rafael Ortega (Al) and Last Man In Nick Madrigal (Joseph) each singled against bitter rivals St. Louis but neither could produce runs from them. Ortega's sixth inning knock saw Patrick Wisdom thrown out at the plate while Madrigal was stranded at second after his seventh inning hit.
- Matt would see his selection Rhys Hoskins score against Los Angeles, but unfortunately that came after being hit by a pitch not hitting a pitch.
- Jarren Duran made his 2022 Pick One debut against the A's netting Buddy a single. Boston's fourth-ranked hitting prospect has gotten a hit in all three games he's played thus far this season.
- Only two men got extra base hits on the afternoon. The first was from Nate who made it 4-for-4 in turning Astros selections into production after Alex Bregman's double against the Royals.
- But for the second straight day Ryan took home the top score with a Break Glass Special, this time being Bryce Harper. Harper matched Bregman's two-bagger in Philadelphia's comeback win over the Angels but also added a game-tying grand slam off of LA closer Raisel Iglesias for a grand total of six total bases.
- Optimally, Kolten Wong got to his eight total bases the easy way with a pair of home runs against the Padres while Yordan Alvarez fell a double shy of the cycle for his.
