- They say misery loves company. Plenty of misery had plenty of company in the Pick One on this day.
- There were only two total hits between two players leaving eight blanks to be handed out with no double-ups of team or player.
- The NL West was the most well-represented division among the zeroes. All-Stars Joc Pederson (Scott) and Jake Cronenworth (Nate) went hitless in San Francisco and San Diego wins respectively. Ed's pick Max Muncy had two walks against the Royals but no hits.
- Last Man In Kevin Plawecki helped Michael Wacha pitch a gem against the Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball, but could not get a hit for Matt in the process.
- Twenty-five hits were raked in the Cubs/Reds contest but none of them came off of the bat of Lenny's pick Rafael Ortega.
- All of the focus in Tampa Bay was on Drew Rasmussen's perfect game bid that he lost in the ninth inning. Well 99.9% of the focus as Al had to have had his eye on Yandy Diaz's increasing number of at-bats but a steady zero in the hits column.
- Buddy's week-long hitting streak came to an end with Jorge Polanco. Minnesota's second baseman could not help his squad from falling back even further in the AL Central with a loss to the Angels.
- This season, Marcus Semien has either gotten three singles in his selection or blanked. Simple math at this point should tell you where he fell on that spectrum for Colin against the Mariners.
- And now for our top scorers, a pair with a single apiece. Pavli got his base knock from Arizona's Alek Thomas and Ryan got his from Toronto's Santiago Espinal. Nothing much more to say than that.
- Optimally, Thomas' teammate Christian Walker fell a triple shy of the cycle against the Rockies, doubling up on his doubles for a final tally of nine total bases.
