- In the land of singles, the man with a double is king.
- The paupers on this day included both of our top two scorers, making this a good old chase day. Buddy was handed a blank by Cincinnati's TJ Friedl while Pavli was left wanting from Detroit's Jeimer Candelario.
- Last Man In Ford Proctor (I swear that is not a 70's car) got an RBI with a sacrifice fly against the Rockies. However, he did not get either of Matt or Nate a hit in the San Francisco victory.
- Chicago lost their eighth straight, all in the division, against Minnesota. In that one only two ChiSox starters went hitless, Ed's pick Elvis Andrus and the man Ed would have pivoted to had Andrus not played, Eloy Jimenez. Would have been tough luck either way.
- Other than LMI assignee Proctor, the only other double selection on the day was Detroit's Eric Haase. He netted Al and Scott a single in Detroit's win over Kansas City.
- Our penultimate Home Run Hero for September wasn't very heroic again. Michael Harris II's second designation of the month went the same for Lenny as it did for Pavli, one single.
- Ryan's run of fun with the A's was halted the day prior, but it got back on track with a single from the former Cardinal Conner Capel in Oakland's loss to the Angels.
- But our top scorer of the day with that aforementioned double was Colin's pick Manny Margot. The Rays outfielder was unfortunately caught stealing third base which wasn't great considering Tampa would go on to lose in extras, but for Pick One purposes he did just enough for the daily gold medal.
- Optimally, Miami's Bryan De La Cruz came a triple shy of the cycle with seven total bases against the Mets. He drove in half of his club's four runs in a game where they too would lose in 10 innings.
