- After slapping the Cubs yesterday, the Reds went and beat Carlos Rodon and the defending NL West champion Giants. Two Giants were taken, Joc Pederson (Buddy) and Mike Yastrzemski (Lenny/Nate), yet it was the one that actually ate an open-handed slap over fantasy football that got a hit on the diamond as well.
- No hits of any kind were on hand for Last Man In Sam Haggerty as the Seattle utility man blanked for Joseph and Matt.
- Bryce Harper's single against the Mets came as a part of a sixth-inning six-run barrage. Nevertheless, the Phillies couldn't get any more runs on the board after that and Pavli couldn't get any more hits from the reigning NL MVP.
- It was a third straight multi-hit day for Colin in the Challenge. This time though Franchy Cordero was able to leg out a fifth-inning double to break a streak of five straight singles from his selections.
- Funny we're talking about singles and three total bases because that is exactly how Marcus Semien got his haul for Al against Oakland.
- That leaves our joint top scorers with a home run apiece, Ryan's pick Julio Rodriguez and Scott's pick Paul Goldschmidt. Rodriguez made his Pick One debut "proper" after being used last season during the Futures Game (yes, that will be an option again this year) while Goldschmidt was a fortuitous change for Scott after Charlie Blackmon's game was rained out.
- Optimally, Bobby Witt Jr. fell a double short of the cycle in Kansas City's loss to the Twins to finish with a daily best of eight total bases.
