- Only two games produced results for their backers on the day, Seattle/Cleveland and Baltimore/Chicago.
- Last Men In Skye Bolt (Matt) and Nick Allen (Nate) could not muster any offense to quell the onslaught that the Yankees brought upon the A's. Bolt was the second step selection because Matt had previously been assigned Allen.
- New York held on to their two game advantage in the NL East with a win over the Rockies. However, the two Mets selections on the day, Starling Marte (Buddy) and Dan Vogelbach (Ed) combined to go 0-for-7 and leave seven men on base.
- The Phillies shut out the Reds but the only shutting out done in the Pick One Challenge was from Nick Castellanos. Much to Lenny's dismay, it was the first time in seven games against his former club that Castellanos blanked this season.
- Each player taken in the Orioles/White Sox matchup earned one total base. Chicago had two selections, Jose Abreu (Colin) and Elvis Andrus (Ryan), while the Orioles had one, Cedric Mullins (Pavli). Baltimore ultimately won to move within 2.5 games in the Wild Card from...
- Seattle won against Cleveland to keep that gap in place. All of the offense in this one came in the first inning. Scott's pick Jesse Winker singled and scored the Mariners' second run on a home run from...
- Our day's top scorer Mitch Haniger made it two consecutive days with cycle bread as the winning formula. Al was the beneficiary of Haniger's three-run shot as well as an eighth inning single. He accounted for half of Seattle's hits in the win.
- Optimally, also for the second straight day only Matt had the opportunity to select the best possible scorer. This time it was St. Louis' Paul Goldschmidt who continued his scalding August with nine total bases (one single, two home runs) against the Cubs.
