- It was a sparse day for bases in the Pick One as 60% of the field found themselves hitless.
- Three people tried to pick on poor Nationals pitcher Patrick Corbin with Cincinnati's Donovan Solano. Buddy, Lenny, and Scott ended up holding a curly L after the utility man's hot run was extinguished with an 0-for-4 in a loss.
- Christian Walker did not add to his haul for the season that has seen him earn top score four times. Ed's pick blanked in Arizona's win over the White Sox.
- Last Man In Yadier Molina didn't give Nate much of an extended buffer in the financial relegation battle, blanking on Sunday Night Baseball against the Braves.
- The roughest blank on the day though had to come from Matt's pick Rafael Devers. Boston's All-Star starter could not get one of the Red Sox's 13 hits against Tampa Bay, leaving a team-high six teammates stranded on the basepaths.
- Al and Ryan got a single apiece from their Central division selections. Milwaukee's Keston Hiura got the base knock for the former while Cleveland's Oscar Gonzalez did so for the latter.
- Boston's Reese McGuire made his overall Pick One debut in that aforementioned game against the Rays. He would double for Colin off of Corey Kluber only to be left there by the only other Sox player to blank on the day, the prior day's top scorer Enrique Hernandez.
- But it was McGuire's former club that produced the day's top scorer, Matt Chapman. Pavli pushed his overall lead to four total bases after a single and a double from Toronto's third baseman in a loss to the Angels.
- Optimally, Manny Machado had one of his best games of the season against Kansas City going 4-for-5 with a single, double, and two home runs. Those 11 total bases were for naught though as his Padres still were routed by a score of 15-7.
