- The second half of the season was delayed a day due to COVID (remember that?) struggles in the Yankees camp, but with that roster overhaul underway we brace for some spreadsheet overhaul with the trade deadline looming.
- We continue to chase what is affectionately known as the "Mitch Haniger High" with doubleheaders and end up having to go to rehab with each passing blank and one point performance. Today's dose was Adam Duvall (Colin/Matt) who blanked in game one before not even playing in the second game and Garrett Cooper (Trevor) who got one single in game one before blanking in game two.
- Another trend that usually falls in the same boat as doubleheaders actually produced top score of the day. Pavli only had the dreaded last game of the evening in his pocket but struck gold with Josh Rojas' pair of doubles in a losing effort against the Cubs.
