- I was an all or nothing day in the Pick One Challenge (almost) as the majority of the players either saw their backed batter go deep or go hitless.
- The one outlier from keeping this gimmick pure was Pavli's pick Rafael Ortega. But despite his single "ruining the fun", it was enough to keep Pavli in second place. And that is even more important because...
- We had ourselves a full-on chase day in the Challenge as Buddy's selection Nick Castellanos was one of just two Phillies starters to not register a hit in their win over the Braves.
- Last Man In luck finally ran out as Stuart Fairchild, on the roster of his third team already in 2022, went 0-for-2 for Nate and Ryan before being pinch hit for in San Francisco's loss to the Mets.
- San Diego won their fifth game in a row in extras over Milwaukee, but Manny Machado's six-game hitting streak came to an end which was not the news Joseph wanted to hear.
- Completing the triumvirate of NL West hitlessness was Lenny's pick Ryan McMahon. The Rockies third baseman did score Colorado's only run against the Pirates but that came after one of his two walks not a hit.
- And that leaves us with our second-ever four way player tie of more than one total base in Pick One history. Arizona's Christian Walker (Colin), Oakland's Chad Pinder (Matt), Chicago's Patrick Wisdom (Al), and Minnesota's Max Kepler (Scott) all hit home runs in their respective contests. If you want some sort of differentiation for shits and giggles, only Pinder's A's lost among the four long ball hitters.
- Optimally, the two way tie for best possible score could not have come from two players having more different seasons. Aaron Judge hit his 16th and 17th home runs of 2022 extending his Major League lead in the Yankees' loss to the Orioles. Aristides Aquino returned to the Bigs hitting under .100 after Cincinnati put two guys on the 60-Day IL to hit his second and third of the season in a losing effort to the Cubs.
