- Four of the five teams in the AL East saw representation on the day (save for the Yankees) with three of the teams getting something on the board.
- Unable to make it three days in a row with three total bases was Ryan with Milwaukee's Christian Yelich. The former MVP did have three walks in a win over the Twins, but needed an eighth inning single to get on the scoreboard in the Challenge.
- Patrick Corbin continues to be a targeted pitcher in the Pick One and didn't disappoint against the Dodgers. He let up seven hits and six runs in 2/3 of an inning before getting yanked. However, none of those hits nor any of the subsequent four off of Nationals relievers came off the bat of Nate's selection Will Smith.
- The most bountiful matchup of the afternoon was White Sox/Rockies with three selections combining for ten total bases. AJ Pollock (Pavli) was the lone representative from the Chicago squad as himself and Kris Bryant (Scott) each had a single and a double for the game. Lenny's pick Charlie Blackmon did them both one base better with a leadoff home run off of Lucas Giolito.
- Boston's season has fallen off a cliff which means players like Al's pick JD Martinez will probably be out the door by the trade deadline. Blanks like the one he had against Cleveland aren't going to help his stock.
- Toronto needed two bites of the apple to get themselves into the thick of it as they were pounded by the Cardinals. Buddy's pick George Springer blanked but Ed's selection Bo Bichette was able to snag himself a solitary single.
- Colin benefited from a second straight multi-hit day from Tampa Bay's Randy Arozarena. This time though the outfielder made one of his two hits a double after hitting two singles against the Orioles the day prior.
- But for the first time this season a Last Man In was a sole possessor of the day's top score. Baltimore's Jorge Mateo sent said game with Tampa Bay into extra innings with a solo shot in the ninth. Although his side would ultimately lose, Matt had himself some cycle bread from the O's shortstop having seen him hit a single earlier in the contest.
- Optimally, Boston's Bobby Dalbec and Milwaukee's Rowdy Tellez each hit a pair of home runs in games that went in vastly different directions for their respective clubs.
