- Goose eggs aren't the ones you want to find on the start of Easter weekend.
- But that is sadly where we need to start as Anthony Rizzo got off the rare triple kill in New York's 11 inning loss to Baltimore. Pavli and Joseph were hard done by the Yankees' leadoff man but Nate was done even worse as Rizzo was his Home Run Hero for the month of April.
- Another member of the 2016 Cubs World Series team provided similar results for Ryan. Kyle Schwarber left five men on base in five at-bats as the Phillies were soundly defeated by the Marlins.
- Rounding out the blanks was Lenny with Kansas City's Hunter Dozier. The Royals DH had a rough day at the dish including striking out on three pitches to end the game against the Tigers.
- After a three day dry spell Scott now has a three day hitting streak after Pittsburgh outfielder Bryan Reynolds prevented the golden sombrero with a fifth inning base knock against Washington.
- Moving from a three-way tie of 16 total bases the day prior to a three-way tie of 17 total bases the next was Al by way of Minnesota's Max Kepler. His single was a part of a very efficient afternoon for the Twins who turned eight hits into eight runs against the Red Sox.
- Joining Al and Lenny in that tied trio was Matt who got himself four total bases from Last Man In Gavin Lux. Lux had himself a binary code hit line with a single and a triple against the Reds. Triples are coming hard and heavy this year. There were only twelve in all of the Pick One picks a season ago, we have four this campaign in just over a week.
- We have a new overall game leader after Robinson Cano homered for Buddy in New York's home opener victory against the Diamondbacks. It was Cano's first ever Pick One selection after missing last season through suspension.
- And another one of those four aforementioned three-baggers came from our day's top scorer Colin via Miami's Jesus Sanchez. The term cycle bread is used a lot in these recaps but the cycle meat rarely if ever gets brought up. But it was on this day as our first two-time top scorer of the season hit a double and a triple in victory over Philadelphia.
- Optimally, Shohei Ohtani or Francisco Lindor would have netted you eight total bases as each man went yard twice in their respective clubs' victories.
