- It seems the prospect of two doubleheaders was less enticing than that of one as the usage went down 10% from the last day with a twin bill.
- Three 2022 (and two overall) Pick One debuts were handed out. Two of them went poorly as both Pittsburgh's Rodolfo Castro (Matt) and Cincinnati's Chuckie Robinson (Ryan) blanked. Castro did the deed twice as part one of the doubleheaders against the Mets. His teammate Cal Mitchell got Nate one single at least in Game 1.
- Representing the header graphic was Scott's pick Brendan Rodgers. Last year's Pick One MVP scored twice for Colorado against Milwaukee, but only got on base once via a base hit, a second inning single off of Eric Lauer.
- The Yankees/Twins doubleheader was strangely neglected with the exception being Colin's pick Nick Gordon. He didn't hit any of the five home runs between the two teams yet racked up three singles over the two contests.
- There were two double selections from the Pirates/Mets doubleheader, one from each team. Both Al and Pavli backed New York's Mark Canha to the tune of four total bases (two doubles). Ed and Buddy got three singles from Pittsburgh's Oneil Cruz.
- But our top scorer for the day, and fourth member of the 4X Top Score Club for 2022, was Lenny's pick Mike Trout. In typical Angels fashion, Trout had himself some cycle bread against the Tigers for five total bases but ultimately still saw his club bested in the end.
- Optimally, a member of that Tigers team that beat Trout's Angels was the top man for the day. Eric Haase went 5-for-5 against Patrick Sandoval and company with a two singles, two doubles, and a home run to put him on an impressive 10 total bases in the win.
