- Both the Yankees and Padres find themselves on the brink of elimination after losses in Games 3 and 4 of their respective series against the Astros and Phillies.
- Those results didn't particularly produce much in the way of significant returns in the Pick One. There was a five-way tie consisting of four different players at just one single.
- San Diego had three of the day's blanks despite scoring six runs in defeat to Philly. Austin Nola (Colin), Trent Grisham (Lenny), and Jake Cronenworth (Matt) went a combined 0-for-11 in Game 4.
- Nate had our second visit from BLANK this week after not having an eligible pick at his disposal via the Last Man In provision.
- New York's Oswaldo Cabrera did get one of five walks for his team against Houston. Regrettably for Scott, he did not get one of the three hits.
- So yup, that leaves us with our pentagon of parity at the top between Al, Buddy, Ed, Pavli, and Ryan.
- After nine picks as a National, Ryan finally put Josh Bell out to Pick One pasture in the NLCS as the second Padres player picked out of the round.
- Buddy and Pavli had themselves a good old standoff by both picking Houston's Christian Vazquez, the second new two-club man of the day after Bell.
- Harrison Bader got one of those three aforementioned Yankees hits to get Al that one sweet total base.
- Rounding out proceedings was Ed with Yulieski Gurriel. He may just have three total bases between his two top scores, but the Astros first baseman is on his way to the postseason Pick One MVP after his second top score in three days.
- Optimally, only Colin could have taken Manny Machado and his cycle bread in Game 4. Several players on Philadelphia equaled or bettered the Macho Man's five total bases, but all were previously picked out.
