- The American League was the primary battleground for our participants on the day. 9 of the 10 picks made were from AL teams.
- Our lone outlier wasn't a pick but rather an assignment. Nate received Dodgers prospect Miguel Vargas with the Last Man In provision but sadly also received a blank in Los Angeles' 12-1 win over San Diego.
- Ryan could have been a second National League backer had the Reds/Rockies games not been rained out. With that being the case though, he was back playing Halo 5 with the Guardians' Luke Maile. Cleveland's backup catcher had a single against the Mariners before being pinch hit for by Ryan's pick from the day prior, Richie Palacios.
- Those very Mariners may have beaten Cleveland 4-0 but only had one total base between their two selections in the Pick One. Buddy's pick Mitch Haniger was the zero in that very difficult math equation while Lenny's selection Adam Frazier was the one with a seventh inning single.
- After holding out hope for probably far too long, Red Sox hoarders are beginning to dump their assets. Al was the only one of the three Sox selectors on the day to get no return on his investment as Enrique Hernandez blanked. Both All-Stars JD Martinez (Matt) and Rafael Devers (Colin) doubled against Texas, but Devers put himself past his teammate with an additional single.
- There were no playoff implications in Kansas City and Detroit's matchup but there was plenty of Pick One production. With Buddy blanking, Pavli was able to extend his lead to six total bases thanks to a double from Hunter Dozier, his second consecutive Hunter.
- But Dozier's teammate was one of the day's two top scorers on a home run. Ed's pick Bobby Witt Jr. as well as Scott's pick, Texas' Nate Lowe, homered for their sides to finish on the daily best of four total bases. Only Colin has Witt Jr. left at his disposal.
- Optimally, Milwaukee's Tyrone Taylor took full advantage of extra innings against Arizona. Taylor put his tally for the day up to 10 total bases by supplementing his regulation double and home run with a bonus baseball two-run shot off of Diamondbacks All-Star Joe Mantiply to give his club a much-needed victory.
