- Ed's torrid September run hit a bit of a speed bump on Sunday Night Baseball. His selection, Kiké Hernandez, was the only blank of the day as the Red Sox lost a rain-shortened affair against the Yankees that officially eliminated them from playoff contention.
- In that same game, Last Man In Oswald Peraza racked up a single and a double for the duo of Matt and Nate. The Yankees shortstop was the only person on either team to get more than one hit in the six innings played.
- Our other dual selection was St. Louis' Lars Nootbaar. Both Colin and Lenny got a single from the Cardinals outfielder in their loss to the Dodgers.
- Scott broke a three-day dry spell and finally reached 300 total bases for the season thanks to Minnesota's Nick Gordon. He drove in one of the Twins' three runs against the Angels with a third inning single.
- Atlanta's Matt Olson and Oakland's Shea Langeliers were traded for one another this past spring. On this day they each doubled to earn two total bases for Al and Ryan respectively.
- Yonathan Daza was given his 2022 Pick One debut by Pavli for the Rockies against the Padres. He doubled and scored in the fifth inning.
- But those two-baggers weren't enough to compete with the day's top scorer, Steven Kwan. Buddy's pick made it two days in a row with a member of the freshly crowned AL Central champions on top. Cleveland's leadoff man drove in 5 on 6 total bases (two singles & one home run).
- Optimally it was all about the Mets, past, present, and one that got away. San Francisco's JD Davis, New York's Pete Alonso, and Toronto's George Springer all finished on nine total bases. Both Davis and Alonso came a triple shy of the cycle with a single, two doubles, and a dinger. Springer hit two homers to pair with his single.
