- San Diego and New York went meekly into the darkness losing in five and four games respectively to Philadelphia and Houston.
- Production in the Pick One was just as sparse as only two participants got on the board.
- Three players were picked out in the ALCS & NLCS closers with none bringing any joy to their backers. San Diego's Trent Grisham dealt the most widespread blank pain taking out Buddy, Ryan, and Scott. Josh Donaldson chuckled his way to a three strikeout blank for Al on what probably will be his final appearance in pinstripes. Padres All-Star Manny Machado saved his worst for last as he didn't get the ball out of the infield for Colin.
- Joining Grisham in the land of providing multiples cases of disappointment was Last Man In Jose Trevino. New York's All-Star catcher saw his postseason average sink to .045 after blanking for Lenny and Nate.
- Oswaldo Cabrera was the final zero of the evening as Ed saw the Yankee rookie saw his overall average dip below the double Mendoza line (.100) in his freshman finale.
- The damage may have already done to Matt's chances of sneaking back into the top four, but at least San Diego's Brandon Drury gave him a little parting gift with a single on his way to free agency.
- But with his lead now standing at six total bases entering the World Series, Pavli took home his fourth straight top score of the round via Isiah Kiner-Falefa. IKF had a double and scored New York's third run but in the end saw his side swept.
- Optimally, New York's Harrison Bader made the most valiant exit with two singles and a home run for six total bases in his 2022 swansong.
