- Two of the four teams that earned a bye in the postseason are going home while one is on the brink of joining them.
- Atlanta was the first to go. On his way out, Ronald Acuna Jr. blanked for Matt in what was his final possible selection of the season even if his club had forced a Game 5.
- It took 18 innings for the Astros to finally put away the Mariners. In none of those frames was Pavli able to get a hit from his selection Cal Raleigh. Big Dumper went 0-for-6 with 3 K's as the M's went home.
- New York still has at least one game left in them after falling apart in the ninth against Cleveland. Neither Isiah Kiner-Falefa (Colin) nor Gleyber Torres (Ryan) could help the cause offensively with a pair of blanks.
- Our lone double selection was a double letdown. Scott saw his Division Series hitting streak come to an end and Al could not take advantage of the game leader blanking with an 0-for-3 (2 walks, 2 runs scored) effort from Los Angeles' Mookie Betts.
- Houston had three players with multiple hits in their marathon with Seattle, one being Lenny's pick Kyle Tucker. Tucker singled in his first two at-bats before going 14 innings silent.
- The non-brothers Turner made their exit with at least a little production for the duo of Buddy and Ed. Buddy moved into a tie for first with three total bases from Trea Turner while Ed got just the single part of that equation from Justin Turner.
- But our top scorer for the third time this season was Cleveland rookie. His impressive ALDS continued with three hits for Nate with one of them being a double to finish on four total bases in the Game 3 win.
- Optimally, Philadelphia's Brandon Marsh and New York's Oswaldo Cabrera each doubled and homered in their respective games to finish on six total bases each.
