- It was another day, another doubleheader in the Pick One Challenge which drew in eight of our ten competitors.
- Sadly, outside that bubble is where we found our only blank of the day as Scott saw Kyle Schwarber go 0-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts in Philadelphia's loss to Texas.
- The other person to venture outside of Atlanta/New York was Ryan who tasted his first Last Man In success of the season after Hanser Alberto doubled in the Dodgers' win over their rival San Francisco.
- Austin Riley went from unselected to 40% picked out in one day as Al, Joseph, Colin, and Lenny all tried their luck with Atlanta's All-Star third baseman. The former two even went as far as to put their Home Run Hero chip on the NL's second best home run hitter. But as you've probably surmised at this point, the fact that Riley is this far up in the recap is not the best sign as he only singled between his side's pair of losses to the Mets.
- A duo of Mets flip flopped their production over the twin bill sweep. Travis Jankowski (Pavli) singled twice in Game 1 while Jeff McNeil (Buddy) did the same in Game 2 to earn their respective backers a pair of total bases.
- Nate paced all the Mets selectors on the day with Pete Alonso's seven total bases. The Polar Bear knocked in more runs with his two singles in Game 1 than he did in the night cap, but in the Pick One his later game was better with that base knock supplemented by a solo home run.
- But making it a rich get richer day was Matt with the optimal scoring output from his namesake Matt Olson. After taking the man Atlanta traded to Oakland for the All-Star yesterday and blanking, our game leader did much better on this day with a home run in the first leg before a duplet of doubles in the second.
