- There was a pleasant symmetry to the day's scoring across the Challenge.
- Each "group" had a blank and then the scores for each group progressively went up.
- Firstly we have the outliers that didn't go with a player from the Cleveland/Chicago doubleheader. Those were Colin and Ryan with Baltimore's Ryan Mountcastle and Toronto's Matt Chapman respectively. Mountcastle's Orioles won their ninth in a row but he blanked. Chapman's Blue Jays broke out of a recent rut against Philadelphia with Chapman contributing an RBI double.
- For the Cleveland backers, Nate drew the short straw as Pick One debutante Nolan Jones blanked as a starter in Game 1 before striking out as a pinch hitter in Game 2. Both Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez finished the split with the White Sox with four total bases apiece. The Guardians leadoff man hit two singles in each game for Al and Ed while Lenny got three singles and a double from the All-Star reserve. Only Matt has Ramirez left at his disposal.
- Finally we have the White Sox which produced a three-way top score tie but also the impetus for a Pick One chase day. Buddy's selection Yoan Moncada couldn't collect any of Chicago's three hits off Shane Bieber in Game 1 before sitting the night cap. That allowed Pavli and Matt to gain ground as Jose Abreu and Luis Robert each had a pair of singles and a home run between the two contests. Scott also had Abreu on the day which bumped him back up to sixth place in the overall standings.
- Optimally, a pair of NL West players would have been your best bets for the day. Los Angeles' Freddie Freeman fell a triple short of the cycle (with a single as a placeholder) and San Francisco's Thairo Estrada homered twice for the optimal tally of eight total bases.
