- Houston knotted up the Fall Classic with a 5-2 win over Philadelphia in Game 2.
- After being on the bench in Game 1, both Matt Vierling and Edmundo Sosa featured in Game 2 for the Phillies. Unfortunately, Vierling (Ed & Nate) and Sosa (Matt) both went 0-for-2 before being pinch hit for in the late innings.
- Game 1 near-villain Aledmys Diaz could not help Buddy gain any ground in his quest for the title with an 0-for-3 performance before being subbed defensively.
- Martin Maldonado rounded out the sad bunch for Scott with an 0-for-3 and 2 K's at the bottom of the Astros order.
- Pavli got a single from Chas McCormick in the Houston win. Al and Colin have the outfielder left at his disposal for the series.
- Speaking of Al, he got a double from his selection Jeremy Pena. The Houston shortstop drove in the first of three first inning runs for his club with the two-bagger.
- Ryan also got a solo double from Philadelphia's Alec Bohm. He became the first picked out player of the World Series, the eleventh of the postseason, and the sixth Phillies player to run the full Pick One gauntlet.
- EDIT: My new phone finally updated last night and I am seeing some text messages that I had signed off on but missed because I got pretty banged up. Colin had a double from Yordan Alvarez which was good enough for the daily silver but not good enough to trigger his October Home Run Hero.
- But for the second straight day Lenny finds himself in the final blurb with a top score via Jose Altuve. It was the first top score of the season for the former MVP with four total bases coming from two singles and a double. Alex Bregman, who three participants have left to select, joined him as well as the day's optimal scorer with a home run.
