- It was a second straight day with a doubleheader on the docket. This one saw just slightly less usage but arguably better results.
- Three participants strayed away from the Chicago/Cleveland matchup. Two tried to pick on poor Baltimore with Oakland A's selections. While viral plunked ass-man Sean Murphy could not produce for Al, Sheldon Neuse picked up two singles in defeat for Lenny.
- Ryan was the last that went against the grain with Austin Meadows against the Yankees. However, his pursuit of the Pick One cycle (Meadows singled and tripled in earlier selections) with the Tigers slugger fell flat with no hits and in the process sent his Home Run Hero chip into the ether.
- One of the perils of a doubleheader is that there is a decent chance that unless you are picking a superstar they could be rested in one of the two legs. Both of the White Sox players picked on the day fell into that category. Nate didn't get anything in Game One against Cleveland before resting in the nightcap. Tim Anderson played the role of Josh Bell from the day prior getting his three backers (Colin, Matt, & Pavli) two total bases before sitting.
- Buddy was able to regain sole possession of the overall lead with four total bases across the two games from Oscar Mercado. The Guardians right fielder hit a pair of singles in his team's 11-1 Game One victory before doubling in a 2-1 win to complete the daily sweep.
- That leaves the top score in the hands of both Joseph and Scott via Jose Ramirez. The league leader in RBI's hit a grand slam in Game One that was a part of a nine-run second that chased White Sox starter Dallas Keuchel. He pushed himself past Mercado in the second leg of the twin bill with a double off Jimmy Lambert.
- Optimally, your best bet on the day would have been Philadelphia shortstop Johan Camargo who paired his seventh inning home run against the Rockies with three singles for seven total bases.
