- The NL East was the belle of the ball as two of the night's games featuring only teams from the division pulled in 60% of the selections.
- Venturing outside of that bubble first, Corey Seager was the only double selection on the day. Regrettably for Buddy and Lenny though the 325 Million Dollar Man could not scratch out a hit in a Rangers loss to the Orioles.
- After his top score performance the day prior, Jurickson Profar could not replicate his production as he blanked for Nate against Colorado.
- Matt's original selection Ian Happ was washed out in St. Louis so he ended up being assigned the Angels' Magneuris Sierra. The Last Man In doubled his hit output for the season with two singles in defeat to the Athletics.
- Only one person who picked in the NL East block blanked. Colin was that person and now has serious threats in his rear view mirror thanks to JT Realmuto's 0-for-4 day against the Braves.
- Francisco Lindor (Al) and Dansby Swanson (Ryan) each had a single in their respective contests. Lindor's Mets were victorious while Swanson's Braves were not.
- Going up the hit ladder was Pavli's selection Luis Garcia. His two singles and two RBI were not enough to get a W for the Nationals but with our game leader blanking he was quite helpful in the Pick One.
- Finishing the representation of singles hitters was Scott's pick Brandon Nimmo. New York's center fielder had three one-baggers in the win, his second multi-hit game in three days.
- But our top score of the day went to the only person who got more than a single on the day. Ed's pick Nick Castellanos hit a long fly ball to (checks notes) center field for four total bases. It moves him within five total bases of Colin in seventh and puts three between himself and Nate in ninth.
- Optimally, Manny Machado fell a triple shy of the cycle in San Diego's 9-1 win over the Rockies to finish on seven total bases.
