- For a second straight day, Boston and Baltimore put up football scores and for a second straight day nobody in the Pick One Challenge was able to properly capitalize. Rob Refsnyder was only to able net Buddy a single in his quest to remain in first place. Connor Wong's debut didn't even do that as Colin suffered his third Boston blank of September.
- Blanks were also on the menu in Los Angeles as the Angels and Oakland played out the string. Ryan's return to California wasn't pleasant as Oakland's Jonah Bride went hitless in three plate appearances only to see the person that pinch hit for him get a hit. Matt somehow had an even worse time as Mike Trout, his September Home Run Hero, blanked for just the fifth time in the month, striking out three times. It was a dubious picking out for the three-time MVP.
- Each "Will" selected got a hit on the day. Milwaukee's Willy Adames got his for Al in a loss to the Cardinals. Nate got his from San Diego's Wil Myers in their extra inning win over the Dodgers.
- Joey Meneses put himself on an 80% career success rate in the Pick One Challenge as he singled for Lenny in Washington's loss to the Braves.
- St. Louis' Lars Nootbaar has had a spotless record in the Pick One Challenge but has always hit nothing but singles. He broke that streak for Scott with a double against the Brewers.
- Continuing another trend from yesterday was Oneil Cruz being one of the joint top scorers. This time it was Pavli benefiting from the Pirates shortstop's performance of three total bases against the Reds. He tied with Ed's pick Bryce Harper who had the same stat line (one single, one double) in Philadelphia's loss to the Cubs. Harper now has a season-high five top scores with Scott still left to pick him.
- Optimally, we finish the trend of back-to-backness with Baltimore's Anthony Santander. While he was on the top of the optimal mountain by himself the day prior, he was joined on ten total bases on this day by Houston's Jose Altuve. Each man hit a double and two home runs but only Altuve's Astros were victorious on the diamond.
