- The day's three blanks saw two dubious streaks continue and one positive one come to a close.
- Scott hadn't gone without a hit since July 26th, but then Washington's Yadiel Hernandez went 0-for-3 with two K's before being pinch hit for in his club's loss to the Cubs.
- Hitlessness has become a far too frequent occurrence for both Lenny and Matt. Dylan Carlson blanked for the former against the Rockies to put his run of futility on five days. Matt set a new standard for despair with his seventh straight day sans a hit as he was ineligible for either of the Dodgers' Last Man In options.
- San Francisco was beaten in a football score game by the Padres. While Al's Giants were on the business end of that scoreline at least he got a single from Thairo Estrada.
- Singles were also had by Arizona's Emmanuel Rivera (Colin), Chicago's Yan Gomes (Ryan), and Boston's Christian Arroyo. Rivera is the fourth two-club man in the Challenge this season after being previously selected while a member of the Royals. Gomes was a pivot after normal Cubs starting catcher Willson Contreras was given the day off against the Nationals.
- Bobby Witt Jr. bounced back from his doubleheader double blank against the White Sox netting Buddy two singles in a 8-3 Kansas City victory.
- Keeping pace at the top of the table was Pavli who got his two total bases via a double from Bryan Reynolds in Pittsburgh's win over Arizona.
- But our top scorer was the Last Man In for Nate in LA's Chris Taylor. The Dodgers' Swiss Army knife player earned Nate a much-needed four total bases when he put the Dodgers ahead for good with a sixth inning solo shot against the Twins.
- Optimally, Albert Pujols turned back the clock with a four hit day against Colorado (two singles, one double, one home run) registering eight total bases in the win.
