- For the most part the early birds got the worm in the Pick One for this day while those who left it late were left with little to pick at.
- Both Giants selections blanked against the Cubs. David Villar (Matt) only reached base once via an error in the fourth inning. Joc Pederson (Al) only had a walk to his name before being substituted defensively in the eighth.
- Seattle had two selections as well. Ty France got Pavli a single leaving him one selection shy of being the first man picked out in 2022. The one participant with France left at his disposal, Ryan, blanked with his Home Run Hero for July, Eugenio Suarez.
- Last Man In David Fletcher (Nate) got one of only three hits off of Rangers starter Spencer Howard, a third inning double.
- The battle for Pennsylvanian supremacy began with a win for the Phillies. Although their bullpen almost gagged the game away in the ninth, Darick Hall's two-run triple for Lenny and Alec Bohm's pair of singles for Ed proved enough to get Philadelphia over the line.
- Our only double selected player was the AL's starting All-Star catcher Alejandro Kirk. Both Buddy and Colin got a single and a double from the backstop as Toronto defeated the Tigers.
- But for the second straight day our top scorer was a cycle bread hungry member of the Baltimore Orioles. This time it was Scott's pick Trey Mancini that singled and homered as the O's shut out Tampa Bay 3-0. Mancini's home run, which many speculate could be one of his last in a Baltimore uni, was an inside-the-park job in the eighth to seal the game.
- Optimally, Matt Chapman hit two home runs for eight total bases in that aforementioned Blue Jays victory in Detroit.
