- For the second time this season we had two players picked out on the same day. Suffice to say those picks had vastly different experiences in their contests.
- Jose Abreu was the first of those two as a late punt by Lenny against the Tigers. The former MVP went 0-for-5 and despite his White Sox winning, Lenny's 10 day run of good form came to an end.
- There were also two doubleheaders on the day: Cleveland/Minnesota and Cincinnati/St. Louis. The Cardinals were the only team to evade selection while the Twins and Reds tied at three picks apiece.
- Another unfortunate tie within those Reds was Buddy and Nate in a tie for daily last place. Both Kyle Farmer and Aristides Aquino respectively could not cobble together a single base knock in the twin bill sweep at the hands of the Cardinals.
- Joining them in rounding out the day's misery was Colin with Twins All-Star Luis Arraez. Minnesota was also swept in their doubleheader by the Guardians in which Arraez went 0-for-4 in Game 1 before flying out as a pinch hitter in Game 2.
- One member from each of the two teams also finished with two singles in two losses. Al's pick Jose Miranda did so for the Twins while Matt's pick Jonathan India repped the Reds.
- Before we get to the day's medal stand, it must be noted that Ryan is back on the Angels. Michael Stefanic became his fourth solely selected Angels player and he would single against the Mariners.
- Coming in third place for the day was Scott with Cleveland's Oscar Gonzalez. Two singles and a double in two wins was enough for the Cleveland rookie to see bronze.
- Pavli nearly shrunk his deficit to single digit total bases with a five-spot from Minnesota's Gio Urshela. He doubled in Game 1 before singling thrice in Game 2.
- But our day's top scorer, and optimal one as well, was our second picked out player of the day, Amed Rosario. The Cleveland shortstop rocketed Ed far away from the drop zone with eleven total bases over the two games. He had seven singles and a home run but would strangely enough drive home the winning run in the 15th inning of Game 2 on an error by fellow shortstop Jermaine Palacios.
